Shaded my drawing

Today I managed to shade my drawing, by carefully observing the various different shades on my shoes. The Grey-scale (or shading scale) was helpful in doing this, as I could differentiate the different shades on my piece of paper as well. I used two methods to do the two shoes, where I felt that the first one was more successful. This included me just taking my time, and follow the details of my shoe from the top-right to the bottom left, and eventually filling in some shades here and there. I spent most of my time on my first one, which may be the reason for why it was a bit better.

The second method, our teacher suggested, which was to first find the light shade of my shoe, and applying this on the hole shoe. Then, we were to shade them in. As we had little time left, I rushed into it, and it not become that successful. Even so, I put my signature on, and generally it looked like an okay piece. Just glad that this wasn't our assignment.
